CLEVELAND, Ohio — Josh Naylor was one of three Guardians players among the top 10 at their positions in the initial release of ballot totals for the 2023 All-Star Game in Seattle. At 10th among American League first basemen, Naylor should have been higher. He leads the majors in RBI since May 30 and is second to Luis Arraez in batting average. After a slow start, Naylor has turned it on at the plate and should be among those representing Cleveland at the Midsummer Classic.
On Tuesday’s podcast, Paul Hoynes and Joe Noga look at Naylor’s ASG chances as well as the rebirth of former top prospect Nolan Jones in Coloardo after Cleveland traded the power-hitting outfielder to the Rockies in the offseason.
