CLEVELAND, Ohio – Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County is offering a $2,500 reward for information about the disappearance of EMT Lachelle Jordan last month.

Jordan limped into the Open Pantry convenience store on Euclid Avenue with no shoes and a torn shirt. She had been missing for five days. She said the people who kidnapped her tried to burn her alive. She was transported to Cleveland Clinic for treatment.

Today, Jordan is home with her family, including her two children. On May 6, Jordan told her twin sister that she was going to retrieve something she left in her car. She did not come back in the house, and her family reported her missing the next day.

While Jordan was missing, her family, friends and co-workers canvassed the city and posted flyers with hopes that she would return home safely.

On May 8, Michael Stennett was arrested and accused of stalking Jordan and violating a protection order. In January, Stennett was served with the order after he was accused of standing outside of Jordan’s home and refusing to leave, according to court records.

Stennett was also accused of stalking Jordan in April and days before she went missing. But prosecutors dropped the charges against Stennett on May 18, citing inconsistent evidence. Stennett was released from the county jail, but he was placed on electronic GPS monitoring and ordered to stay away from Jordan.

Police said Stennett did not play a role in Jordan’s disappearance. He faces charges for rape and kidnapping in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
