CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne has zeroed in on a plot of land in Garfield Heights as his preferred location for a new jail and said he will introduce legislation to buy it – and potentially indicate how to pay for it – to council next week.

His decision to recommend the site at Granger Road and Transportation Boulevard, in Garfield Heights, came down to three main factors, he told cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer’s Editorial Board on Monday.
