Kaylee Remington, who has been a journalist for more than a decade, is the commerce and metro reporter for cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer. Kaylee is responsible for writing about shopping deals and shopping trends. She also writes breaking and trending news for the shopping and entertainment industries. Kaylee is also the Saturday metro reporter, covering anything from crime and justice, politics, health and more. Previously, she was a criminal justice reporter covering Cleveland's suburbs for cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer. She won second place for Best Investigative Reporting with a team of reporters for her work on the "East Cleveland Police Chases" series. She and her team also received third place in Best of Show in the National Headliner Awards for the series, finishing behind the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune. Before working for cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer, she was a reporter in Lorain for five years. She covered Lorain County government, Lorain County courts, city government and crime. She placed third for Best News Writer for her journalism in Lorain County. She is a Kent State University graduate with a degree in magazine journalism and a minor in sociology. She resides in Berea with her fiance Chris and two cats, Nova and Pax.
