The U.S. Open golf tournament starts Thursday from The Los Angeles Country Club as the third major of 2023 gets under way -- and there will be hours of live broadcasts from morning until well into the evening.

On Thursday and Friday coverage begins exclusively on Peacock at 9:40 a.m. Eastern, followed by USA Network at 1 p.m. Live primetime coverage shifts to NBC at 8 p.m.
The last week in men’s professional golf has been a whirlwind with the PGA Tour aligning itself with LIV Golf, fronted by former two-time U.S. Open champion Greg Norman.
Matt Fitzpatrick is the defending champion of the U.S. Open and will face challenges from Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka, who are in the same group to start this tournament and have been central players in the dispute between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. McIlroy is ranked third in the world, while Koepka is coming off a PGA Championship win. They will be joined by 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama with a 4:54 p.m. Eastern tee time.
Scottie Scheffler, the world’s No. 1-ranked player, will tee off in the morning with Collin Morikawa and Max Homa. Reigning Masters champion Jon Rahm also has an early start with Viktor Hovland and Xander Schauffele, both ranked in the top six.
