CLEVELAND, Ohio -- There is no doubt that Donovan Mitchell loves New York.
A native of Westchester County, Mitchell is an avid fan of the New York Mets, where his father works as the director of player relations.
Mitchell has also often been associated with the New York Knicks, who employ Allan Houston, a family friend of Mitchell’s, a former Knicks All-Star and current GM of the G League Westchester Knicks.
Recently, Mitchell said he was “geeked” about playing in Madison Square Garden during Cleveland’s first-round series, fanning the flames of the idea that Mitchell will ultimately end up playing for New York.
